Dear Intercessors, Prayer warriors,
31st of August was not only Shabbat, but also Rosh Chodesh, and the first day of the months ELUL, a month of special Divine grace and mercy, going back to the time of Moses. It is moreover the beginning of 40 days of soul searching, drawing closer to G-d, of repentance and renewal.
The most auspicious time to embark on a program of self- development is the first day of the Hebrew month of “Elul.” For many generations, Elul has been a time for personal change and renewal. Elul, as the month preceding the High Holidays of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, is the time specifically set aside for preparing for those events.
Like in the days of the Exodus, when Israel turned from their covenant they had made with G-d, from keeping His commandments and instead fell back into apostasy, so has modern Israel backslidden into apostasy, sinfulness and abominable transgressions. Moses interceded for Israel when he went to fast for a 2nd time for 40 days on Mt. Sinai, and God granted forgiveness. Then Israel renewed her covenant relationship with G-d. And we, the Body of Messiah, must intercede for Israel, like Moses interceded for G-d’s people to save them from annihilation, and Abraham interceded for his nephew Lot and family to save them from obliteration. We must make up the breach caused by Israel’s sinfulness and stand in the gap for her safety, protection and salvation.
When I do intercession, I pray ONLY the Word of G-d (see “Watchmen Prayers”). But before I do I cleanse myself from all unrighteousness and impurity with hearfelt repentance, seeking forgivenss and forgiving, that I may come unto the altar of incense before G-d with a pure heart and conscience (Matt. 5:23; Mk 11:25; 1 Jn 1:9), so that the angel ministering at this altar may mingle my prayer with the incense on it and with the holy coals, rendering my prayer acceptable unto G-d and a pleasing odor (Rev. 8:3-4).
Whatever the circumstances or needs for which I intercede with G-d’s Word, I ask the Holy Spirit to quicken to me the applicable words for the occasion. It is not up to me/us to choose what of G-d’s Word to pray for the situation.
And here we have this awesome timing of Rosh Chodesh, the 1st of September, the 1st of Elul, the 1st of the 40 days of “Repentance,” of Divine grace and mercy, and Yom Shabbat, that Israel’s IDF (Israel Defense Forces) had to send military reinforcement to our northern border in anticipation of attacks by the Lebanese terrror organization Hezbollah on Israel, threatened by Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, for Israel have downed Iranian drones launched to attack Israel.
This is what I sent out today to intercessors to pray, after I had repented for myself and for our people:
“O LORD/HASHEM, be a stronghold for Your people oppressed by Hamas, Hezbollah and other terror groups and by all who hate Israel; may You be a stronghold in times of troubles such as now. Behold, Hassan Nasrallah travails with wickedness and conceives mischief and brings forth falsehood. Let him and all of Hezbollah fall into the hole they have dug and hollowed out for Israel to fall into it. Let their mischief return upon their own head, and their violence descend upon their own pate, while Israel escapes and is safe (Ps 7:14-16). “
“Let the nations who hate Israel and all terror groups who act revengefully and take vengeance with malice of heart to destroy Israel with never-ending enmity (Ezek. 25:15) sink into the pit which they have made; and in the net which they hide for Israel let their own foot be caught. Let Hezbollah, Hamas, Isis, and all who plot Israel’s destruction be snared in the work of their own hands (Ps 9:15-16).”
“Almighty Father in heaven, let Your warrior angels be stationed around Israel’s borders, cities, towns and settlements, and redirect the missiles where they cause neither harm nor damage, or send them back to where they came from. For no weapon that is fashioned against Israel shall prosper, but we shall confute every tongue that rises against us falsely in judgment, for this is our vindication from You, O LORD/SHASHEM our G-d (Isa. 54:17). For your Holy Name’s sake, LORD, shield and protect us and watch over us as over the apple of the eye (Zech. 2:8). Keep terror far from our people, our nation, let no evil come near us nor any harm befall us , keeping Israel safe, in the mighty Name of Yeshua, which is above every name named in heaven, on earth, and under the earth, we ask and pray. But let Hezbollah and Hamas fall because they keep stirring up strife with Israel” (Isa. 54:14-15).
“Forgive us, O G-d, our Father in heaven, for our backslidings and transgressions but heal us and save us according to your promises and for your Holy Name’s sake, and vindicate your holiness before our enemies eyes by your nation Israel and her IDF (Ezek. 36:22-23, 25-30; Jer. 3:22), lest your enemies say that You have no power to protect Jacob and that you have forsaken Israel” (Ezek. 35:10-13)..
Furthermore, let all of us remind the Holy One of Israel of His good promises.
Isaiah 41:8-16 – “Remember, Abba, Holy One of Israel, what you promised, saying that Israel is Your servant, and that You have chosen Jacob, the offspring of Abraham Your friend, whom you took from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners saying, that Jacob is Your servant, whom you have chosen and not cast off. Therefore Israel shall not fear for You are with us, and not be dismayed, for You are our G-d. Strengthen us/Israel, help us, and uphold us with Your victorious right hand.”
“O LORD, our G-d, let all who are incensed against Israel be put to shame and confounded; let those who strive against Israel be as nothing and perish. Israel shall seek those who contend with us, but shall not find them; and those who war against us/Israel – like Hezbollah, Hamas, the PA and others – let them be as nothing at all. For You, the LORD our G-d, hold our right hand. It is You Who says to Israel, ‘Fear not, I will help you.'”
“Therefore Jacob, who is like a worm in the dust in the eyes of his enemies, shall not fear, nor all the men of Israel! For You will help Israel, O LORD, Who is our Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. According to Your Word make Israel and her IDF a threshing sledge, new, sharp, and having teeth; to thresh the mountains of powers pitted against us and crush them, and make of their hills of terror groups chaff. Let Israel winnow them and Your wind carry them away, and let Your tempest scatter them. But Israel shall rejoice in You the LORD/HASHEM, and in You, the Holy One of Israel, we shall glory.”
Conclude with Zechariah 2: 5 and 8:11 – “O LORD our G-d, be to Israel a wall of fire round about and the glory within her. And now, O LORD our G-d, Abba in heaven, we plead with You and remind you in Yeshua’s Name of Your promise that You will not deal with the Remnant of your people (from the Shoah) as in the former days (with punishment for transgressions, letting the curses of the Law come upon us), but that instead You will rejoice in doing them good with all your heart and all your soul, planting them in Your Land in faithfulness. Your plans for Judah and Israel are for their welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jer. 29:11); betrothing Your people to You forever in righteousness and in justice, in steadfast love and in mercy. For we are Your people, and You are our G-d (Hos. 2:19-20, 23). In Yeshua’s Name. Amen & Amen.”
This is a time for VOICING G-d’s Word in prayer out loud because His angels, His mighty ones who do His will, HEARKEN TO THE VOICE OF HIS WORD and go forth and perform it (Ps 103:20-21). Moreover, His Word shall not return void but accomplish that for which it was sent (Isa. 55:10-11).
This is a time – the 40 days until Yom Kippur – for the shofar warriors to pray this prayer into their shofars and then send it forth, sounding the shofar, one of HIS VOICES, and this Word prayer will ride upon the vibrations and frequencies of the sounding across the globe, unstoppable, while G-d’s mighty angels, hearing G-d’s Word VOICED by the shofar, go forth and carry out this Word.
The power, the victory, the dominion, is with the Kingdom of G-d and its citizens, the children of G-d brought forth and raised up in Yeshua, Savior, Messiah, King of kings and Lord of lords, Son of Abraham, Son of Joseph, Son of David, Son of G-d. We, the Body of Messiah, must not fail our mission and the commandments of our Lord and King, Yeshua. Even so be it.
