Happy New year 2025, and shalom shalom in Yeshua, the Prince of Peace. May this new year be a year of Israel’s victory over our enemies, with complete defeat of the terror organizations, and release of all hostages, including the dead. Following the announcement by the Syrian rebels that after Assad’s overthrow, Jerusalem will be their next target, Israel’s IAF sent out 350 planes, destroying within 48 hours 320 military bases, airports, ports, weapons factories and storage bunkers.
I strongly urge not to give any credence to the rebel leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa’s words at the BBC interview and at other interviews that Syria is not a threat to the world; that they will establish a democratic government and allow free practice of other faiths.
In the meantime we have seen horrific videos of the rebel leader’s men slaughtering thousands of other faiths, even Muslims who did not adhere to this extreme Islam, humiliating and torturing them. Now the Syrian Sunni Jihadists of Al-Julani’s army are capturing young Kurdish women to use as sex slaves (https://www.facebook.com/reel/889526583553515 ). All this is happening while Al-Julani is hosting American and European leaders in Damascus – see https://www.facebook.com/elinor.rasco.7 .
He projects 3-4 years to form a new government with freedom for all citizens. The al-Khaida trained terrorists – some come from ISIS – did make clear their ultimate goal: to return the world of Islam to its former glory with an Islamic Caliphate in the whole region.
An Islamic Caliphate is a form of Islamic state or government led by a Caliph (Khalifa), meaning “successor,” who serves as the political and religious leader (or symbolic head) of the global Muslim community (Ummah), ruling according to Islamic law (Sharia) and as a successor to Prophet Muhammad. Today, the concept remains a goal for extremist groups like Isis, Hamas, Al-Khaida, Hezbollah, and others, though it’s widely rejected by mainstream Muslims, and the last major Caliphate (Ottoman) was abolished in 1924.(AI quote)
Doubtlessly, Israel’s intelligence is aware of it, nor is Israel waiting until they are fully organized.
It seems that Syrian civilians have also heard this announcement because they are bringing vast numbers of military equipment and weapons to the Israeli soldiers now stationed on Mt. Hermon (presently 55 cm of snow) in the buffer zone between Syria and Israel, only 20 km from Damascus.
Should they try to do what Israel had warned about the new leaders, allowing Iran again a foothold in Syria with new weapon depots of long range missiles, ballistic missiles, drones, etc. then Israel will respond with great power. I have always thought that Damascus might get leveled (Isa. 17:1) one day by Israel. This day may be sooner than expected.
